LEARNING OBJECTIVES
As a result of this training, your team will:

- identify their natural listening approach,
- explore their strengths and challenges as a listener,
- understand the communication gaps that can occur,
- recognize when to use different listening approaches, and
- develop a plan to improve their listening skills.
TIMELINE
This training can be facilitated in one day. However, it is most effective when employees are given one week in between sessions to process the training content and put into practice their newly learned skills. Therefore, a three-week training program is suggested with three-hours of coaching each week.
The benefit of three separate two-hour sessions is it allows us to (1) incorporate homework that encourages real-world application and (2) provide follow-up coaching based on the attendees’ homework experience. This is the best approach to ensure employees (1) absorb the training content and (2) adopt new behaviors that ultimately result in improved sales skills.
