Communicating Effectively as a Team

Before your team can expect to communicate well with clients and customers, they have to learn to communicate well with each other. It may seem like common sense, but all too often employers avoid addressing internal communication issues that can cripple workflow. We can work with your staff to help them learn to communicate effectively. We’ll use our proven tools to help you reduce downtime, increase job satisfaction and avoid costly errors.

LEARNING OBJECTIVES
The purpose of this training is to enhance workplace relations and create a more productive and cohesive work environment where…

  1. everyone is getting along,
  2. there is an atmosphere of mutual respect and trust, and
  3. disagreements and conflicts are handled with class and professionalism.

This training is strategically designed to provide your team with insight into their own workplace behaviors and help them better understand the behaviors of others, so that they may connect better and improve the quality of their interactions.

Employees will learn to:

  • understand and appreciate their workplace behavioral style,
  • understand and appreciate the behavioral styles of their colleagues,
  • adjust their behavioral style to communicate more effectively, and
  • learn to people read for stronger rapport and more effective relationships.

During this training, Comparison Reports can be provided for any two employees to illustrate their similarities and differences and, most importantly, provide them with valuable tips on how to increase the effectiveness of their communication.

TIMELINE
This training can be facilitated in one day. However, it is most effective when employees are given one week in between sessions to process the training content and put into practice their newly learned skills. Therefore, a three-week training program is suggested with three-hours of coaching each week.

The benefit of three separate three-hour sessions is allows us to (1) incorporate homework that encourages real-world application and (2) provide follow-up coaching based on the attendees’ homework experience. This is the best approach to ensure employees (1) absorb the training content and (2) adopt new behaviors that ultimately result in improved leadership and management skills.

Improve your team’s workplace relations. Give them the training they need to communicate effectively as a team.  We’ll show them how to get along and play nicely with each other each and every day.  Call or email us today!
