Building a Team of Well-Respected Networkers

When done effectively, networking can be a powerful business-generating and relationship-building tool. Unfortunately, most organizations don’t properly train their sales and management teams to network successfully. In the end, they are left with negative experiences that ultimately result in a severe dislike for networking. Don’t let this happen to your employees. We’ll teach your team how to own the room and exude confidence every step of the way!

LEARNING OBJECTIVES
As a result of this training, your team will better understand the value of networking and learn how to:

  • create a first impression that gets noticed and remembered favorably,
  • use non-verbal communication to exude confidence and credibility,
  • connect with everyone and engage in mutually beneficial conversations,
  • create an elevator speech with an ultimate WOW factor,
  • use networking etiquette to present a polished presence, and
  • implement an effective follow-up process.

TIMELINE
This training program is designed for five to 20 employees and is most effective when hands-on practice is incorporated. That why we recommend a four-hour afternoon session followed by hands-on practice in the evening at a two-hour networking event. Then, we’ll conclude the next morning with an additional three hours of coaching and wrap-up. This will ensure employees (1) absorb the training content and (2) adopt new behaviors that ultimately result in improved networking skills.

PREREQUISITES
Although it is not absolutely necessary, our program entitled “Communicating Effectively as a Team” provides an excellent foundation for this training. We recommend beginning with it and then following up with “Networking Effectively.” The two combined together are a powerful combination. Please call us. We’d be delighted to discuss this in more detail.

CLIENT TESTIMONIAL
“In my professional role, I excel at connecting with clients. In this setting, I know the rules and what’s expected of me. When I have interacted with colleagues or attended networking events, I felt awkward and on-edge. I didn’t know what was expected of me or what I brought to the table. Working with Starla changed all that. Starla’s individual coaching helped me fall in love with myself all over again and refine how I present myself to the world. Now when I attend a networking event, I know what’s expected of me, and more importantly, I know I will be able to successfully connect with other professionals because I exude confidence. Thank you Starla!”
